    Hello catherine, this has a low, varying pile, it should work well with a rolling office chair as long as it is on a hard surface, we do recommend a non skid rug pad. Thanks for shopping with us!

    I have this exact rug and I do not recommend it for rolling chairs. It is very thin and flimsy, has a latex back, and is washable rug, like cheap kitchen rugs. I was so disappointed since I thought it was a carpet style rug with a stiff back. The wheels will cause ripples in the rug and the edge will lift up when the wheels go over it. Beware of cats. They love these types of rugs and will lift up the edges and claw at the latex backing. The colors are beautiful. This rug would be great for staging a home or if you need a washable rug.
